Mary Hobbs received a Bachelor of Arts degree, in 1958, from Baldwin – Wallace University in Berea, Ohio. After marriage and beginning a family, she nurtured the desire to become a fashion illustrator and determinedly pursued her dream.
For over 45 years, Mary created fashion illustrations for clothing companies nationally. Additionally, she served as art director and illustrator for several furniture stores.
In 1990, she furthered her career through the world of “color”. This new artistic direction resulted thanks to many colored pencil workshops. Her work has been exhibited in art shows and is in private collections around the United States, Japan and Mexico.
